Moving a WordPress site without FTP access

We got involved in a project where we were needing to move a WordPress site, but we didn’t have FTP access to the server that the site resided.

Okay, the title might be a little gruesome sounding, but I want you to think of that image. Don’t go into too much detail, all you need to do is convince yourself that the experience would be most unpleasant.

When search engines send visitors to your site, they are coming in fast. One could say that your visitors are arriving “at the speed of thought.” If the page they land on doesn’t have the information they are looking for, they will feel like they’ve hit a brick wall.
